New “On the Edge” survival camp in August

This year the Outdoor Ministries Team (OMT) offers a new experience for campers: “On the Edge” Survival Camp. This session will be held August 2–7, 2015 at Camp Mt. The Board of Directors of the Brethren Leadership Foundation, Inc. (dba Camp Colorado) announces its annual meeting to be held Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 7 PM Mountain Time at Camp Colorado, 238 N. County Highway 67, Sedalia, Colorado 80135.

Dear Western Plains, I’m simply blown away by the turnout at this weekend’s camp opening and board/trustee meeting. It was a fantabulous time! Much was accomplished. Bear in mind, however, that there is still much to do in terms of getting ready for campers! Here are some highlights of the weekend:

On March 10–13, the Outdoor Ministries Connection met at Camp Capers, an Episcopalian center in Waring, Texas. Jan Gilbert Hurst, McPherson, Kan., represented the Outdoor Ministries Association of the Church of the Brethren at this meeting.

Maintenance position open at Camp Colorado

Camp Colorado is in need of some help this summer. We are looking for a full time maintenance worker. This person must be able to do physical labor without limitations, help with mowing, trimming and at times be able to run a chainsaw. They also need to have basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical skills.
