Ted & Co. in Kansas
Ted & Co. is coming to Kansas this winter with not one, but TWO opportunities to experience this entertaining and thought-provoking theater. Check it out!
Sunday, February 15 at 3:00 p.m. at the University Friends Church (1840 W. University Ave, Wichita, Kansas). The show, titled Peace, Pies and Prophets, includes a live performance of I’d Like to Buy an Enemy as well as a real, live pie auction. The proceeds from the pies, and the free will offering, will go to support two organizations: Christian Peacemaker Teams (CPT) and Food-4-Kids. CPT is an organization that works at peacebuilding and justice around the world. Food-4-Kids is a program of the Kansas Food Bank that, every week, sends home over 7,000 backpacks full of food for children who are food insecure in Wichita. The show is sponsored by People of Faith for Peace, and ecumenical group of peacemakers in Wichita. For more information contact Alan Stucky, pastor of First Church of the Brethren Wichita at 316.263.0274 or alan.stucky@gmail.com. (Download a bulletin insert here.) Sunday, March 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the McPherson Church of the Brethren (200 N. Carrie, McPherson, Kansas). Ted & Co. will be performing Listening for Grace. This new play by Ted Swartz is a funny, powerful, poignant performance which gives voice to our fears and hopes when a faith community engages in questions around same sex relationships. A father’s journey, a church’s struggle, a search for commonality. For more information, contact the McPherson Church of the Brethren at maccob@macbrethren.org.
