On March 10–13, the Outdoor Ministries Connection met at Camp Capers, an Episcopalian center in Waring, Texas. Jan Gilbert Hurst, McPherson, Kan., represented the Outdoor Ministries Association of the Church of the Brethren at this meeting. This gathering brought together Presbyterian, UCC, Methodist, Lutheran, Episcopalian, Church of the Brethren, American Baptist, and Catholic representatives to discuss ways that our denominations might work together.

OM Connection in TexasThe agenda for this ecumenical forum included a presentation on the research from the Confirmation Project and the planning for the first-ever joint board meeting (to be held in September). We have so much to gain from our interactions with other denominational outdoor ministries. Our collaborations with these other associations help strengthen the ministry of the Church of the Brethren.
