John “Marty” Moyer was installed as pastor of the Garden City (Kan.) Church of the Brethren on November 16. Marty, his wife Rachel, and son Daniel recently moved to Kansas from Virginia, where he was pastor of the Copper Hill Church of the Brethren.
Joanna Davidson Smith was licensed to ministry on November 30. Joanna is a member of the Mont Ida Church of the Brethren, Welda, Kan. and is a trained spiritual director. She is currently serving the district as moderator-elect and as peace and justice coordinator.
